Common questions

How do I get started with iPlusHost?
Pick a plan from Web Hosting, WordPress, Reseller or Cloud, choose a billing cycle and add a domain (or bring your own), then check out in the client area. Your account is provisioned automatically and you get a welcome email with your cPanel and client-area logins.
Can you migrate my existing site for free?
Yes. Our team moves your files, databases, mailboxes and DNS, tests everything on a staging copy, and cuts over on your schedule — with no downtime you didn't approve. Start a migration request from the client area or email [email protected].
Where will my website be hosted?
We run datacenters in Atlanta (US-East), Amsterdam (EU-West) and Mumbai (IN-West). Your region is selected automatically based on where you are, and you can choose a specific region when you order.
How do I reach support?
Open a ticket from the client area (Support → Support Tickets) and it goes straight to an engineer, not a script. Live chat is available 24×7, and phone support is included on business and reseller plans.
How do I manage my domains and DNS?
Everything is in the client area under Domains — register or transfer names, edit nameservers and DNS records, toggle auto-renew, and manage WHOIS privacy. Nameserver changes can take a little time to propagate.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication?
In the client area, open your account security settings and enable two-factor authentication with any authenticator app. 2FA is available on every account and required for reseller plans.

Pointing your domain at iPlusHost nameserversGetting started3 min read
At your domain registrar, set the nameservers to the pair shown in your welcome email (typically ns1.iplushost.com and ns2.iplushost.com). Propagation usually completes within a few hours and can take up to 24. The exact nameservers for your account are listed under your service in the client area.
Your first 20 minutes in cPanelGetting started6 min read
Open cPanel from the client area, then: add your domain under Domains, create a mailbox under Email Accounts, upload your site to public_html with File Manager or FTP, and install WordPress or another app from the Applications installer. An SSL certificate is issued automatically once your domain points to us.
What we need from your old host (checklist)Migrations4 min read
To migrate for free we need your old host's control-panel login (or a cPanel backup), a list of domains and email accounts, and your current DNS records. Our team copies files, databases and mailboxes, tests everything on a staging copy, and schedules the cutover with you.
Zero-downtime DNS cutover, step by stepMigrations7 min read
We stage a full copy on our servers, lower your domain's DNS TTL a day ahead, verify the staged site, then switch the A and MX records. Because everything is tested first and the TTL is low, visitors move across with no downtime — and we keep the old records ready for an instant rollback.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that actually passEmail8 min read
Add an SPF TXT record that includes our mail servers, enable DKIM signing from cPanel's Email Deliverability tool (it generates the key and record for you), then add a DMARC TXT record at _dmarc starting with p=none so you can monitor before enforcing. cPanel flags any record that isn't set correctly.
Setting up mail on iOS, Android and OutlookEmail5 min read
Use the values from cPanel → Email Accounts → Connect Devices: IMAP on port 993 (SSL) for incoming and SMTP on port 465 (SSL) for outgoing, with your full email address as the username. Prefer IMAP over POP so your mail stays in sync across every device.
Enabling LiteSpeed cache and object cachingWordPress5 min read
Install the LiteSpeed Cache plugin and turn caching on in its settings. For object caching, enable the built-in Memcached/Redis option available on our plans. Together these offload repeated database queries and make dynamic WordPress pages noticeably faster.
Using staging and pushing changes to liveWordPress4 min read
Create a staging copy from the WordPress toolkit in cPanel, make and test your changes there, then push to live in one click. When pushing, choose files-only if you don't want to overwrite live content such as new orders or comments.
Turning on two-factor authenticationSecurity2 min read
In the client area, open your account security settings and enable two-factor authentication with any authenticator app by scanning the QR code. Save your backup codes somewhere safe. 2FA is available on every account and is required for reseller plans.
Recovering a site flagged by Imunify360Security9 min read
Check the Imunify360 tab in cPanel for the flagged files, restore clean copies from a backup or remove the malicious code, then update every plugin and theme and change your passwords. If you're unsure, open a ticket — we can isolate the site and help clean it.
Changing currency, tax details and GST numberBilling3 min read
Update your billing profile in the client area under Account → Details, including your GST/VAT number and address. Currency is set per region; contact support if you need to change the currency on an existing account. See the Terms & Conditions for how taxes are applied.
How renewals, grace periods and refunds workBilling5 min read
Services renew automatically at the published rate unless you cancel auto-renewal before the renewal date. On non-payment a service enters a short grace period and then suspends. New services carry a 7-day full refund and a 30-day money-back window (with exclusions) — see the Terms & Conditions for the detail.
